This cardigan begins with the body band, which is worked the length of the lower edge. Stitches are picked up from one side edge of the body band and the body is worked in one piece to the armholes, working the pockets and pocket linings as you go. Then the body is divided for the armholes and the fronts and backs are worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves begin with a sleeve band, then stitches are picked up from the band and the sleeves are worked flat.
