Mio
This is a pattern for a stuffed toy Mio in a romper. The toy and the romper are knitted flat on 2 needles and then sewn.
MATERIALS:
oatmeal (main)DK yarn approximately: 20 - 25 g
contrasting shade of oatmeal DK yarn approximately: less than 5 g (I chose the same color yarn, but from different companies, so there is a difference in shade.)
blue DK yarn approximately: 15 g
piece of strong pink thread for the nose
piece of strong white thread for the whiskers and eyes (I used embroidery threads.)
KNITTING GAUGE:
24 sts and 28 rows to 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4” in stocking stitch (knit row on right side, purl row on wrong side) and 2.5 mm needles.
Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tight enough to make sure the stuffing would not show through the stitches.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 17 cm/ 6.7’’
The size will vary based on yarn type, needle size and your personal tension.
NEEDLES:
1 x 2.5 mm needles
1 x 2.75 mm for the romper
