Mircels Cowl
This pattern is provided free for your enjoyment. I design my patterns to enjoy the process of knitting and to give something back to the knitting community. If you enjoy this pattern and would like to support the creation of future patterns, please consider making a very small contribution via Paypal to: PayPal.me/Viktionary
Contributions will go towards purchasing yarn for future designs and the occasional Earl Grey latte to keep the fires of creativity fueled. Regardless of whether you contribute or not, thank you for your support and kind words on my patterns.
I combined a few smaller motifs found in a 17th century embroidery book to produce the designs on this cowl. The resulting images reminded me of sigils or symbols from ancient texts and engravings. Mircels is the Old English word for a mark or a sign.
