For those of you in a Prayer Shawl group who like to crank out the projects, this one’s for you! This is a simple shawl with an easy-to-remember pattern that still has the appearance of requiring a ton of effort. The cabling is also very simple, so this would make a great first-time-cabling project (it was only my second!).

Gauge is not particularly important for this project, but your finished shawl should probably be about 24-30” wide and up to 60” long.

This pattern is easily modified to make it narrower or wider.

If you plan on donating your shawl to a hospital, please know that they usually request or even require that you use synthetic or non-allergenic fibers. Jiffy® has a mohair-esque look and feel but is 100% acrylic, which makes it perfect for this project!
