Mirry Diamonds Entrelac Crochet Bag
Inspired by Entrelac Knitting, Mirry Diamonds Entrelac Crochet Bag is made in one piece, minimal seaming, with a durable felted finish. Entrelac construction creates diamond-shaped tiers of color, that work up beautifully using a gradient, variegated, or self-striping yarn. Using Noro Kureyon, the Aurora Borealis (aka Mirry Dancer) colors tile with a solid color like a charm patch quilt.
This pattern was featured in the 2023 Slow Yarn Crawl at Stranded By The Sea. Kits Available.
Note: Gauge is on the loose side and not terribly important due to this bag being felted. However, if you are using the suggested Noro Kureyon, keeping the squares close to the gauge will use most of the 2 balls. A gauge of 4” per square will need additional yarn.
It is recommended to crochet a swatch and felt it (see Felting instructions) if you are unfamiliar with how a yarn felts, or how your washing machine performs.
Difficulty Level: Easy/ Intermediate. The stitches used are simple - Chain, Single Crochet, Slip Stitch, and Single Crochet Decrease - but with an unusual construction. Being able to read your work and count rows makes this project easy.
Size: Unfelted
