Materials and Tools
2 balls each worsted weight yarn in light tan and 2 in black ( I used ‘I Love this Cotton’ by Hobby Lobby in “taupe” and “black”)
1 ball each worsted weight yarn in red and white ( I used ‘I Love this Cotton’ by Hobby Lobby in “red’ and “white”)
1 ball yellow acrylic yarn (I used Caron Simply soft in “sunshine”)
Fine toothed comb or cat brush to brush out acrylic yarn for hair (acrylic yarn is best for brushing out but wool or wool/acrylic blend works as well)
Hairspray for styling
2.75 mm crochet hook
3.25 mm crochet hook
2, 20 mm black safety eyes
Long, blunt tipped embroidery needle
Piece of scrap cardboard for shoe bottom inserts, if desired
Polyester fiberfill
16 gauge wire or stick to help hold head upright, if desired
16 gauge wire for poseable arms, if desired
Black and pink felt for mouth
Super glue gel or fabric glue
Abbreviations
Sc- single crochet
Hdc- half double crochet
Hdc dec- one hdc across two stitches
Inc-two sc in one stitch
Dec- one crochet over two stitches (for invisible decrease, use only front loops)
St- stitch
Ch- chain
Sl st- slip stitch
MR- magic ring
