Miski Sweater

Miski is inspired on the dance of the waggle bee that performs when arriving at the hive to announce that a nectar source has been found. This dance aims to inform the other workers in which direction and distance the pollen is.
All the hard work from the bee community allows us to have the delicious honey that reminds me of my best childhood memories. This dance is present in the design of the lace lines, intertwined with a stich that simulates the honeycomb.

Construction
Miski is a circular yoke sweater that is knitted in a tubular way, starting from the neck down. The neck is knitted in twisted ribbing, then followed by a section of short rows to add height to the backneck. The yoke is knitted in a fancy lace stitch. Following the yoke, the sleeves and body are separated to be knitted in stockinette stitch, finishing with a twisted ribbing waistband.

Miski is designed like the vast majority of my knits; that makes it clear to choose your size according to the final of garment’s measurements. The idea is that you choose the ease and lengths that best suit your body or taste.
I suggest you measure your body circumference, chest and arms, sleeve lengths and body. With that information, think about the desired fit. You can also measure a sweater or garment that fits your tastes or how you imagine the finished sweater.
The same size can accommodate different bodies according to the taste of looseness and length. So define well before choosing.

Miski, está inspirado en la danza que realiza la abeja bailarina al llegar a la colmena. Esta danza tiene como objetivo informar a las demás obreras en qué dirección y distancia se encuentra el polen. Todo este arduo trabajo en comunidad, nos permite tener la deliciosa miel que evoca mis mejores recuerdos de infancia.
Esta danza está presente en el diseño en las líneas de calados, entrelazados con un punto que simula el panal.

Construcción

Miski, es un sweater de canesú circular, que se teje en forma tubular, comenzando desde el cuello hacia abajo. El cuello se teje en punto elástico retorcido, luego le sigue una sección de vueltas cortas, para dar altura a la espalda. Luego se teje el canesú, en punto fantasía calado. Luego de tejer la altura necesaria, se separan las mangas y el cuerpo. Estos se tejen en punto jersey, terminando con una pretina de punto elástico retorcido.

Cómo escoger tu talla

Miski está diseñado, al igual que la gran mayoría de mis tejidos; para que elijas tu talla de acuerdo a las medidas finales de la prenda. La idea es que escojas la holgura y largos que más se acomoden a tu cuerpo o gustos.
Te sugiero medir tu circunferencia de cuerpo, pecho y brazos, largos de mangas y cuerpo. Con esos datos piensa en la holgura deseada. También puedes medir algún sweater o prenda que se acomode a tus gustos o a cómo imaginas el sweater terminado.
Una misma talla puede acomodarse a distintos cuerpos de acuerdo al gusto de holgura y largo. Así que define bien antes de elegir.
