When the time comes to say goodbye, how can you possibly express what they have meant to you? For a knitter, the answer is easy – by giving them your time, your work, a piece of yourself to carry with them. A hat to stay warm, a scarf to keep the wind out, or a blanket to snuggle under, each stitch infused with gratitude and love. Miss C Cowl is the second instalment in a series conceived, designed, and knit to honour just such a remarkable person in my life.

Miss C Cowl is knit flat in a cable and lace pattern and grafted or seamed together to form a loop. Choose from two sizes: Cowl, for a snug, warm fit; or infinity scarf, for multiple wearing options. Miss C cowl is suitable for bulky or aran weight yarns that block well, in solid or semi-solid colours.

Sizes: Cowl, Infinity Scarf

Yarn: Cascade 128 Superwash, or other bulky weight yarn that knits up to 14 stitches per 4”/10 cm. Cowl sample shown in 867 (Lichen)

Malabrigo Mecha

Colour Adventures Aran, or other aran weight yarn that knits up to 18 sts per 4”/10 cm. Infinity scarf sample shown in Garnets.

Yardage:
Bulky: 128 yards/117 m for cowl - please note the cowl size takes an entire skein of Cascade 128 or Mecha, so it is a good idea to have extra on hand if you will not be keeping a close eye on gauge

320 yards/295 m for infinity scarf

Aran: 155 yards/142 m for cowl, 330 yards/302 m for infinity scarf

Suggested Needles: US size 10/6.0 mm circular or straight needles for bulky version
US size 8/5.0 mm circular or straight needles for aran version

Gauge: 14 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch for bulky version
18 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch for aran version
