Miss December 1997 Royal Ballgowns
Designed to fit an 11 1/2” fashion doll.
MATERIALS:
Two 250 yd balls of size 10 green crochet thread (doesn’t
need to match tulle exactly)
One ball size 20 white crochet thread
1/2 yds green tulle (112” wide). Make sure you do not buy
nylon net. It is much coarser. Tulle is very fine and is what
wedding veils are made of. If tulle is 54” wide, you will
need 3 yds.
8 skeins embroidery floss to match tulle. (Take tulle with you
in order to match)
Size 7, 9, and 12 crochet hooks
60” length of plastic pearl beads
60” length of marabou
Four 18” lengths of 20 gauge covered floral wire
Dark floral tape
4 large red silk ribbon roses, 9 small red silk ribbon roses
See separate materials list for tiara and necklace.
3 small snaps
Doll stand.
GAUGE:
Please work a small swatch 15 hdc long by 6 rows. Gauge
varies from one person to another and working a swatch to
see if your gauge matches the instructions will insure that your
dress will fit the doll. If you need to use a smaller hook or a
larger hook to match the gauge below, you will also need to
do the same thing when coming across different hook sizes
throughout pattern.
