Miss Gelato Giraffe is the owner of the ice cream parlour in the county of Bearbyshire. She spends all day dreaming up new flavours and trying them out with her best friends the Bakery Bears !

The body pieces are knit in the round using the Magic Loop method, and then seamed together. The cardigan is knit top down in one piece. There are no complex stitches and I would say that any intermediate knitter would consider this a quick and fun project.

Materials needed

• Worsted weight yarn - approx 100 yards main colour, 20 yards contrast colour
• Fingering/4ply weight yarn - approx 50 yards
• Toy stuffing
• 2 x 9mm black safety eyes
• 3 small buttons
• Scraps of brown or black 4ply yarn for the nose
• Tapestry needle
• 4 stitch markers
• Row counter
