Miss Kitty's Shawl
My inspiration for this shawl is all the shawls I’ve seen on old westerns like Gunsmoke--saloon girls have fancy shawls for “work”; farm girls have warm, functional ones for going out to collect eggs or feed the chickens.
This is a quick knit shawl for lace-weight to sport-weight yarn in an easy-to-memorize lace pattern. Make a shawl for an event--use light yarn for a summer knit; heavier for more warmth. I’ve knit this with anything I had on hand! Use 3 to 4 x 50-gm balls--2 to 3 for the shawl, 1 for a fringe.
The cream-colored one pictured is hand-spun Alpaca in a fingering weight, the purple one is Drops Nepal Alpaca/Wool.
