Miss Marple's Shawl - What Would Miss Marple Knit?
This pattern in Piecework’s “Vintage Literature” issue was originally from Weldon’s Practical Needlework Shawls in Knitting and Crochet. This Weldon’s publication is currently available in reproduced form from Iva Rose Vintage Reproductions (www.ivarose.com).
Piecework Magazine published the original 1930 shawl pattern, donated by Iva Rose, in their Sep/Oct 2010 issue.
Several members of the Interweave Piecework Group have completed this shawl as a Knit-Along and figured out the yarn weights, needle size, and stitch definitions, which were not included in the pattern.
ERRATA:
After Row 6, where the original pattern says “Rep. last 2 rows 15 times.” it means repeat last 2 rows 15 times EACH for a total of 30 rows. You will end with row 36, an increase row.
