Miss Spicy Gingerbread Cookie
Winter and Christmas are knocking at the door!
The winter friends have arrived to cheer you up in the cold!
I introduce to you this cute little Gingerbread Cookie - Miss. Spicy!
This could be a hanging ornament, a gift, or a toy for Christmas.
This is for beginner and intermediate crocheters who are familiar with MR, sl st, sc, spike stitch, cl, inc, dec, FLO, BLO, invisible FO terms and have some embroidery skills, The pattern is full of instructions, so I warmly welcome anyone who wants to learn some new stitches. You will need a crochet hook, some yarn, a tapestry needle, sewing yarn (little sewing skill), stuffing, and safety eyes (optional).
Read the pattern carefully before you start crocheting.
Miss. Spicy - the Gingerbread Cookie is crocheted in continuous rounds with yarn under (YU) technique, a 2.5 mm ( 4/0 - C2) hook and Alize Diva Silk Effect yarn (100 gr - 350 m, 3.53 oz - 383 yards) this way you will end up for the Bitten Head version with a ~ 9 cm (3.5 in) tall, 7 cm (2.8 in) wide, and the Whole Head version ~10 cm (4 in) tall, 8 cm (3 in) wide item. Also, the increases and the decreases are made with the invisible technique. Use stitch markers (or a piece of contrasting yarn) for the beginning of the rows..
You can work with YO technique and any yarn (adjust the hook size); just keep in mind the finished item will be slightly different. The measurements are for the specified yarn and hook size.
Abbreviation in the pattern (not explained later):
spike sc - spike single crochet is worked as a sc but into a round below that current round
ch 2 and cl 3 - chain 2 and cluster (with partially completed 3 dc) linked together, worked in the same stitch, skipping the secure chain on the top of the cluster
p 3 - picots with 3 chain stitches
… at the end of the row - total number of stitches
(…)x… - repeat instructions in parentheses x times
If you have a question, I`m here for you.
