Miss Woolfenden's Reticule
I originally designed this cute little bag as a last minute accessory for my Aloha Steampunk Costume (that’s just a steampunk costume made with Hawai’ian fabric!). Luckily it also works for my Aloha Downton Abbey Costume! You get the idea. So, since it was Lesli’s awesome Steampunk Birthday Party that inspired me, I absolutely had to name the bag for her!
I wanted this bag to have stiff sides that stood up on their own without having to use a tiny hook! FPdc accomplished exactly that, while giving it a really structured “Steampunk” kinda ribbing.
This ia an excellent pattern for ADVANCED BEGINNERS looking to practice a fun new stitch! For which I’ve included a lovely PHOTO TUTORIAL! More experienced crocheters will just love how fast and fun this ravishing little reticule is to make!
At 4.5-5”/11.5-13cm wide and just 6.5-7”/16.5-18 tall, it’s perfectly sized to hold your party going essentials. It also makes an excellent gift or party favor bag. Not to mention a fun little treasure bag for your mini-me! Sweet.
This pattern is a fabulous 7 pages long! But fear not, as always, I have included a PRINTER FRIENDLY version :))
