Missing Tallinn
Missing Tallinn is inspired by my ‘knitter’s pilgrimage’ to Estonia, the home of the famed Estonian lace and nupps. I designed Missing Tallinn while in COVID-19 lockdown and it gave me a lot of happy memories of exploring the beautiful, mesmerizing capital city of Estonia while staying home.
Don’t like to sew seams or pick up stitches?
If you too are craving an easy, comforting knit, Missing Tallinn is for you. Knit-in-the-round with no seams to sew and knit-as-you-go ribbing (i.e. no picking up stitches), your top will be done once you cast off.
Fall in love with Nupps
Nupps are used to create a smocking effect, as well as in an interesting rib. (Yes, Nupps two-ways.)
Heartfelt Gratitude to:
Ai Ling, my perfectionistic sample knitter.
What more can I ask? I consider her my partner-in-crime/knitting.
Judi, my patient and thorough tech editor.
I know I found a gem when I got a ton of ‘optional edits’ so my pattern isn’t just ‘correct’, but good and as clear as can be. Thank you for always going above and beyond.
