This is a pattern for Sock Dolls made on a 72 needle CSM (Circular Sock Machine) but could easily knit on a flat bed knitting machine or hand knit in the round.

These happy folks are Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (aka. Mormons) The pattern includes instructions for all variations, Boy, Girl, Grandma, Grandpa.

You could also leave off the name tags and charms and make a happy family with parents, kids, and grandparents. What a happy gift for someone missing their family member or friend. Or, you could gift one when you leave to those who will miss you. I like them to be played with as something little ones can look forward to doing.
