MIST LAYERS fingerless mitts
These fingerless mitts are knitted using self-striping sock yarn. This type of yarn is readily available from indie yarn dyers and saves you from sewing in all the ends that you’d have if you were changing yarn every time you changed stripe colour. The self-striping sock yarn used in this pattern changes colour every three metres of yarn, which is three or four rows of knitting. I stock a range of colours on my Etsy site.
The mitts are light-weight but warm, perfect for those fresher Spring and Autumn days. The pattern is knitted in the round on double-pointed needles. There are no increases or decreases to work. The only slightly trickier part is where you break the rounds to leave a hole for the thumb.
One size fits all (adult ladies).
This is a knitting pattern for intermediate knitters.
