Mistral Hood
The balaclava style hood will keep you warm when strong winds are blowing.
The hood is worked bottom up starting with the neckband worked in the round. Decreases and German Short Rows are worked to shape the neckband. Stitches for the face opening are put on hold while the hood is worked flat. Decreases are worked at the top of the hood. Stitches are picked up to work the face opening trim.
The pattern is available in one size for adults, but due to the shape, it is very flexible. and adjustable in the length.
Italian tubular cast-on and bind-off is used for the ribbed edges, but you can also use your preferred methods.
