These cozy mittens feature a beautiful twisted stitch pattern that echoes the design of the namesake hood (separate pattern available on Ravelry), adding texture and sophistication to the simple construction.
The mittens are worked with a straightforward thumb opening and finish with a slightly pointed tip for a sleek yet practical silhouette.

The pattern is available for 3 sizes with different hand circumferences for female and male (young) adults. Measure the circumference of your upper hand to select the size. There should be 2 -2.5 cm (0.75 - 1“) of ease. The length of the mitten can be easily adjusted while you go.

The mittens are worked cuff up in the round in one piece. The stitches for the thumb are put on hold and finished at the end. The back and palm sides of the hand are worked in “Grass-Stitch“, while the thumb is worked in stockinette stitch.

You need ca. 123 (130, 140) m, 135 (142, 153) yds of worsted weight yarn.
The examples are worked with one strand of Merino (worsted weight) yarn held together with one strand of Mohair yarn (lace weight).
