The scarf is knit lengthwise and consists of a simple repeating lace pattern along both ends that is easily memorized once you get going. The pattern is very simple with lovely results. The scarf is completely reversible, and looks perfect no matter how you wear it. It can easily be made longer or wider to wear as a shawl (as shown in the last two photos), and can be made in stripes or all one color.

Materials needed to make the scarf:
For striped scarf shown:
Size US 5 (4mm) 29” or longer circular needles
Alpaca Cloud Fingering yarn by Knit Picks was used for black/gray/cream scarf, one skein each in six colors.
Cheshire Cat yarn by Wonderland Yarns was used for blue scarf in “Hookah Smoke” colorway.
You could also use 600 yards of your favourite fingering weight yarn for a one-color scarf.

For solid color scarf/shawl shown:
Size US 4 (3.5mm) 29” or longer circular needles
One ball Madeline Tosh Prairie (color used is “cloudveil”) or 650 yards of your favourite laceweight yarn.
