For a while now, I’ve been consciously adapting my knitting projects to my everyday life. When I have a quiet and relaxed time, I like to dedicate myself to new techniques and challenges. If I have a more stressful time with little routine, I need a project that can run alongside and that grounds me. At the beginning of summer Mara from AyaFibers asked me if I would like to design a shawl for the new opening of her online store. I was very happy to be given this task and the choice of yarn was a perfect fit for a rather stormy time in my life. With the ‘Organic DK’ base, I created a relaxed design that I could pick up at any time to work a few rows on. The ‘Misty Grey’ shawl is a classic triangle shawl and is knit from the top down. The following techniques are included: Garter Tab Cast On, knitting, purling, increases, twisted stitches, cables.

Seit einer Weile passe ich meine Strickprojekte ganz bewusst an meinen Alltag an. Wenn ich eine ruhige und entspannte Zeit habe, widme ich mich gerne neuen Techniken und Herausforderungen. Habe ich gerade eine stressigere Zeit mit wenig Routine, brauche ich ein Projekt, welches nebenherlaufen kann und mich erdet. Ich war sehr glücklich über diese Aufgabe und die Auswahl des Garns passte perfekt in eine eher stürmischere Zeit in meinem Leben. Mit der ‘Organic DK’ Base habe ich ein entspanntes Design erstellt, welches ich jederzeit zur Hand nehmen konnte, um ein paar Reihen daran zu arbeiten. Das “Misty Grey” Tuch ist ein klassisches Dreieckstuch und wird von oben nach unten gestrickt. Die folgenden Techniken sind enthalten: Garter Tab Cast On, rechte und linke Maschen, Zunahmen, verkreuzte Maschen, Zöpfe.
