Misty Rivers Cowl
This snug fitting cowl evokes a rushing river enshrouded in mist, with striking variegated yarn reminiscent of swift water tumbling over rocks and a haze of mohair drifting above it. Structural slipped stitches and purls help to break up pooling in variegated yarns, while a touch of mohair softens them. Approximately 22 inches (56 cm) wide by 8 inches (20 cm) tall, you can make the cowl longer or shorter to your tastes or change the circumference by adding or subtracting multiples of 4 stitches.
Needles
US 5-7 (3.75-4.50 mm) or to meet gauge.
US 2-4 (2.75-3.50 mm) for ribbed brim.
Yardage
200 yds (183 m) of each yarn.
10% of all pattern sales go to the Dakin Humane Society.
