To name this shawl took a group of wonderful knitters …

Misty, for me, is not only a weather condition but, the pony of my dreams and as far as I am concerned, she still resides along the Northern Chesapeake shores close to my father’s home where real ponies still roam free - protected …
Stormy day, we have had too many of those lately. New York and New Jersey, my heart breaks for you, as that is where I grew up. Like Misty, the pony, Sandy Hook or Asbury Park will always remain as I remember them as a child, yet they will never be the same.
Embrace. Yes we need to embrace, including accepting change. There is no holding it back. Yet, an embrace can mend many ills and hurts. The more often, the better.
Here is to hoping this shawl embraces everyone it touches, bringing back wonderful childhood memories; memories of things we have lost and cherish, and somehow hoping these memories, if painful, move from ones that hurt to ones that give joy.
