Mit Ecken und Kanten - Das Muster des Schals hat Ecken und Kanten. Die Redewendung steht aber auch für Individualität, Ehrlichkeit und Selbstverwirklichung, was zu vielen von uns Strickern passt. Wir haben eben alle unsere Ecken und Kanten.
Material: Farbverlaufsgarn Beispiel: Fantasy Colours, Austermann, Baumwolle, Lauflänge: 250 g / 1000 m; 3,5 mm Rundstricknadel, verwendete Länge: 100 cm; 1 Stricknadel z.B. Nadelspielnadel (3,5 mm oder dünner) für das Abketten der letzten Maschen.
Das Tuch wurde testgestrickt.

Mit Ecken und Kanten - The English translation is „with corners and edges”. You will find these on your shawl pattern. But “mit Ecken und Kanten“ is also a German Phrase. It’s the rough edges and flaws that make a person what she/he is, hits the meaning.
Material: 1 skein / 250 g Fantasy Colours, Austermann (cotton yarn; approx. 100 0m / 250 g) was used for the example on the picture. You can use any other yarn with this yardage; circular knitting needle 3.5 mm/US4 (used length: 100 cm/40‘‘); 1 knitting needle e.g. double-pointed needle (3.5/US4 or thinner) to bind off the last stitches. 
The shawl was test knitted.
