Mittens created for the Twist x Designers 2021 edition.
In collaboration with Les Brebis du Beaurivage and Les Arts Textiles du Témiscouata.

The mittens are knitted from the bottom to the top. There is a few bobbles as well as elongated stitches, a technique used to create the little flowers on the top of the mitten. You have the option of creating or not an inner lining with the mohair. To do this, you will pick up the stitches placed on hold at the very beginning, and then you will knit an all-jersey lining.

Material
Yarns :

• 1 skein of Frisonne x-fine (60% wool, 20% alpaca, 20% nylon) from Les brebis du Beaurivage.
• 1 skein of Mo’soie (70% baby mohair, 30% mulberry silk) from Les arts textiles du Témiscouata, or approx. 30 (35) 40 g of fingering and 8 (10) 13 g of mohair.

Needles: 3 mm / US2.5 and 3.25 mm / US3.

Gauge
With 3 mm / US2.5 needles and the mohair strand, knit 32 stitches per 38 rows in the round and in stockinette to obtain a 4” / 10 cm square.

With 3.25 mm / US3 needles and the fingering strand, knit 26 stitches per 38 rows in the round and in stockinette to obtain a 4” / 10 cm square.

Modèle de mitaines créé dans le cadre de Twist x Designers édition 2021.

Les mitaines sont tricotées du bas vers le haut. On a un petit jeu de noppes ainsi que de mailles allongées, une technique utilisée pour créer les petites fleurs sur le dessus de la mitaine. Vous avez l’option de créer ou non une doublure intérieure avec le mohair. Pour ce faire, vous allez reprendre des mailles mises en attente au tout début, puis vous allez retricoter une mitaine tout en jersey.

• 1 écheveau de Mo’soie (70 % bébé mohair, 30% soie de mûrier) de Les arts textiles du Témiscouata, ou approx. 30 (35) 40 g de fingering et 8 (10) 13 g de mohair

Aiguilles : 3 mm / US2.5 et 3.25 mm / US3

Échantillon
Avec les aiguilles 3 mm / US2.5 et le brin de mohair, tricotez 32 mailles par 38 rangs en rond et en jersey endroit afin d’obtenir un carré de 4 po / 10 cm.
