The Mitchell Socks are a celebration of Friendship and Hand Dyed Sock Yarn.
These socks were designed for my friend Sara. Guess what her last name is?
This was also the first time I got to use hand dyed sock yarn from Arcane Fibre Works. I’ve always marveled at how they can capture the colours of a picture in a skein of yarn. Their colourways are truly gorgeous! Sara chose the, ‘Little Moments in Time’ colourway, but that is just one of what feels like endless lovely options.

There are endless options. Just google it. You’ll see. The hardest part will be choosing one.

Yarn Used:

• As previously stated, I used Arcane Fibre Works Sock Yarn in ‘Little Moments in Time.’
• You’ll want 100g (437y) of a fingering weight sock yarn. The actual yardage requirement will depend on the size of the foot you are knitting for.

Sizes Available:

• These socks are designed to fit and Adult/Teen sized foot.

Needles:

• This pattern uses a 2.50mm on a 40” cord for Magic Loop. You can also use 2.50mm DPN’s or 9” circulars, whatever tools you prefer for knitting in small circumferences.

Gauge

• 32 sts / 4” in Colourwork Pattern

Additional Materials Required:

• Stitch Markers

• Dental Floss, 2.50mm DPN and Waste Yarn for the Afterthought Heel

• Darning Needle

• Scissors
