Mitered Rainbow Blanket
This blanket is made up of 36 mitered squares. Most of them are connected by picking up stitches on others that you’ve made, but there is a small amount of sewing required to connect the last ones that are worked.
I recommend using Caron Simply Soft for this pattern. It’s my favorite for making baby blankets because it’s soft, washable, and comes in a wide variety of colors. You will need 4 skeins of the Grey Heather and 1 skein each of Harvest Red, Persimmon, Sunshine, Kelly Green, Royal Blue, and Iris. Because you only need about half a skein for each of the accent colors, this can be a great stash-bushing project.
If you have any questions, comments, or feedback on this pattern, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I have no delusions that the patterns I write are perfect.
