Miterious Gauntlets
This pattern was inspired by all the gorgeously rendered armor in all of the many fantasy video games I play. Warm and slightly more practical than the fantastical inspiration, these were also designed as a way to use up some leftover sock yarn. These are made seamlessly from the hand to the elbow. They start out worked flat for the mitered squares at the hand, but then are joined in the round for the arm portion.
Size: one size: 18” long from point to point, 10” around at elbow, 7” around at wrist. Pattern includes notes for adjusting size.
Materials: ~ 450 yds sock or fingering weight yarn. U.S. size 4 circular needle or dpns, small crochet hook
** model uses ~ 225 yds Cascade Heritage Sock in green and purple, and ~ 225 yds Knitting Fever Painted Desert in 9 Vineyard. The two yarns are held together throughout
Gauge: 22 st x 26 rows = 4” x 4” in St. St.
