This pattern is suitable for beginners! You should be familiar with the split half double crochet (SPLHDC) stitch. The pattern does not include instructions on how to do this stitch, but there are a ton of videos and tutorials online. The mittens are crocheted in the round.

Materials:
-5mm crochet hook
-1 stitch marker
-1 skein (135m) of bulky weight yarn for small size, 1.5 skeins (205m) for large size, for the mitten body
-scrap worsted weight yarn (25m) for ribbing

-Small size: 22cm tall, from base of ribbing to top of mitten body. 10cm wide mitten body, not including thumb
