This free crochet pattern makes a small Mitten Christmas Ornament ideal for the festive season.

It is also the ninth of twelve crochet patterns to be released as part of the Crochet Crew’s Countdown to Christmas. You can stay in the loop with all twelve Christmas ornament crochet patterns by following along with the fun here.

This crochet pattern is super quick to work up, uses minimal materials (yarn scraps are great!). It is also an easy level pattern suitable for beginner crocheters, and is written in English in US terms only.

• Construction: This pattern is made by crocheting two flat pieces, which are then joined together by crocheting around the edges while stuffing

Yarn

DK yarn. I used Rico Ricorumi DK (Colour A & B) and Rico Ricorumi Lamé DK (Colour C) in the following colours:

A - White (2 grams = 4.7 m / 5.2 yds)
B - Blue (5 grams = 11.6 m/ 12.7 yds)
C - Gold (1 grams = 5 m/ 5.5 yds)

Please note: If preferred, you can use the same yarn (e.g. Ricorumi DK) for both yarn colours. Rico Ricorumi Lamé DK is not mandatory for this project.

Other Materials Required

• Crochet hook size 2.5 mm / C in US
• Stuffing
• Needle
• Scissors
• Stitch marker
• Pins (optional)

Mitten Decoration Size

The Mitten Christmas Ornament once made is approximately 8cm/3.2” high by 5.5cm/2.2” wide. Please note the size of your make will vary depending on your hook size, the yarn you use, and your tension/gauge.
