This is a WONDERFUL, detailed and versatile pattern!

Designed ‘in-house’ by Judy & Carol, this pattern is written in thorough detail with pictures included for each step of the mitten.

The inside of the mitten is knit first, starting with provisional cast on (optional), including detailed ‘how to’ instructions. Once completed, stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on edge and then the outside of the mitten is knit, eliminating any sewing or seaming! The outside layer has extra rounds in the top of the mitt, as well as the thumb to allow for the thickness of the inside layer.

Pattern Features

  • Three Sizes – Small, Medium & Large (mitten measures approx. 3 3.4, 3.75 inches across, measured flat
  • Three Cuffs Options – purl edge, picot edge or plain edge
  • A Thumb Gusset that is contoured to fit the natural shape of our hands, making them very comfortable to wear
  • Two Mitten Top Options – a flat top or a circular top

The mitten is knit in the round from cuff to fingertip. The inside of this mitten is knit with one strand of mohair held together with one strand of fingering weight yarn. The outside is knit with one strand of fingering weight yarn alone. The added mohair along with the double layers makes this a warm and extra cozy comfortable mitten.
