In fact, you can knit a dozen of them in one weekend and be ready for Christmas.
I made teen’s size mittens for my 13 y.o. daughter and women size for presents and for myself. I tried the women’s size on a few women (including my mum, who is a professional knitter) and they were happy with how the mittens fit.

Kid silk yarn is optional, you can reach a perfect result without it, as I did with green mittens. Enjoy knitting.
