The pattern calls for 2 balls of each MC and A, but there is quite a bit of yarn leftover (close to half of each ball remains after finishing).

In round 9 of the thumb gusset, the pattern says “K24. Slip last 10 sts onto safety pin.” This means the last 10 of the 24 you just knit.
