Worked in the round from the cuff up to the tip, these mittens
are perfect for beginners who would like to expand their
skills. The half-twisted rib on the cuff is followed by a simple
texture stitch that resembles the stripes and dots from the
fur of young tapirs.
A strand of waste yarn is knitted to mark a forethought
thumb. Once the top of the hand is shaped, the strand is
removed and the live stitches are placed back onto needles in
order to complete the thumb.
