These mittens are worked in the round from the cuff up to the tip, starting with a half-twisted rib, and followed by a pat-terned center combined with a stockinette stitch background. The thumb is made by gradually increasing stitches on one of the sides (gusset). The hand is closed with Kitchener stitch, and once finished, the live thumb stitches are placed back onto needles to finish the tip.
