Mitts for Anna
This pattern is
available for free.
This pattern is a simple one, suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to sit quietly and knit without having to think about too much about the pattern.
The mitts can be made with fingering, sport, DK or worsted weight, but no matter the weight of the yarn, for small, even stitches, I nearly always knit them up with size 3 needles. You can use larger needles to create larger mitts, or cast on fewer stitches to accommodate the larger gauge.
They are knit flat and seamed up at the end with holes left for the thumbs. Adding buttons for embellishment is, of course, optional.
note: the mouse pattern is from this book.
