Say “I mitts you” to distant friends by gifting these little mitts in a favorite color!

The pattern is especially well suited for dark, variegated colorways. The central cable is so simple it’s really a texture, barely visible against the dark yarn but easy to memorize and fun to knit. Frequent tiny cable crossings scatter the pretty flecks of color every which way.

Bright, pale, or neutral shades would also look great, of course.

Single rib at the wrist, fingers, and thumb gusset creates a snug fit. Only one size is given, but because the design is simple and symmetrical, experienced knitters can easily customize length and/or width.

Skills used: cabling, knitting in the round on double-pointed needles, slanted increases, decreases, and sewn bind off. Cable and gusset are described in words only, with no chart.
