Mix-It-Up Square
This little SQUARE has a pretty POPCORN FLOWER center to give it texture. It also features some Moss Stitch detail.

Yarn used: Red Heart Roll With It Melange. Colorways are Paparrazi and Show Time.
Size J hook.

• I got approximately 18 SQUARES out of each cake.
• Yardage per square = approx. 20 -22 yds.
• Squares measure approx. 5” x 5”.
• Stitch count = 16 stitches per side.

(Any yarn weight can be used along with a suitably sized hook.
Size of course will vary.)

STITCHES USED: CH, SC, HDC, DC, EDC = Extended DC.
SS = Slip Stitch.

Details of how I constructed my “Mix-It-Up” Square Blanket.

Yarn used: Red Heart Roll With It Melange. Colorways are Paparrazi and Show Time. (The 3 “RED” squares are left over scrap yarn.) Size J hook.

Joining yarn is Bernat Softee Baby Cotton in Soft Plum. (This is a 3 weight cotton blend yarn. It goes well with the Melange yarn, as it seems like a thin 4 weight, in my opinion.)**

Meandering Mix Square
This is a cute square with a POPCORN FLOWER center along with some simple stitches to frame it.

Yarn used: Red Heart Roll With It Melange. Colorways are Paparrazi and Hollywood.
Size J hook.

• I got approximately 16 SQUARES out of each cake.
• Yardage per square = approx. 26 -28 yds.
• Squares measure approx. 5.5” x 5.5”.

My RICK RACK BORDER: Working on a foundation of Moss Stitch. Its SS, DC, SS worked in chain 1 space. Skip next stitch. SS in next chain 1 space. SS in next stitch. SS, DC, SS in next chain 1 space. Continue all around, making 2 SS, DC, 2 SS in EACH CORNER. SS = Slip Stitch.
