Mix It Up mixes knit and crochet – the top itself is knit, but the lace on the yoke is crochet.

This top is close-fitting over the shoulders, but after the lace section it billows out into the light, airy and drapey body. It has a simple rolled over hem on the neckline and sleeves. The body is finished with a linen-stitch border, which adds some weight to the body and helps the body drape beautifully.

Mix It Up is designed to have 2-6 inches of positive ease, and is worked at a very open gauge, creating a fabric with a lovely drape and move.

Suggested needles
4 mm (US6) circular 60 or 80 cm / 24 or 31 inches for body and sleeves, using magic loop where needed.
3.25 mm (US3) circular 60 or 80 cm / 24 or 31 inches for hem, using magic loop where needed.

Gauge
21 stitches x 26 rounds in stockinette on size 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

Note: Needle size is just a suggestion. Adjust needle size if needed to obtain gauge! Pay extra attention to your gauge when working the sleeves. Many knitters tend to have a tighter gauge when working small circumferences. If this happens to you, you will have to go up a needle size when knitting the sleeves!
