The design genesis for this crochet poncho started as a cowl. The medley was overwhelming for a cowl, but in poncho form, it has all kinds of style and shine. Two gradient colorways provide color interest, and the use of lacy crochet stitches and a larger hook lightens up the fabric.

FINISHED SIZE Approx 18” wide and 50” long, before seaming.

YARN Lion Brand Yarns Scarfie (78% acrylic, 22% wool; 312 yd 285 m/51/4 oz 150 g; ): #203 ochre/navy (MC), #204 denim/navy (CC), 1 skein each.

HOOK Size K/101/2 (6.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

GAUGE 10 sts = 3 1/2” and 4 rows = 2” in hdc. Gauge is not critical to this project.
