This is an elongated triangle shawl or wrap designed for variegated/speckled/gradient lace yarns, it is a fun play with colors that are similar, but not the same. The striping brakes up any pooling tendencies, and leaves you with an interesting fabric, easy to knit, and lovely to wear.
The body of the shawl is knitted in stockinette but there is a garter option, if you prefer that. The finishing border is mostly done by knitting, and a little bit of lace.
The samples shawls were knitted from 150 gram multicolored Wollmeise lace and 150 gram semisolid Wollmeise lace, or 2 half skeins of different multicolored Wollmeise lace, or half a skein of multicolored Wollmeise lace and 150 grams semisolid lace yarn of any sort.
