Christmas Stocking Pattern Instruction

The ribbing and Fair Isle part of the sock are knitted flat, the foot and tip part of the sock are knitted in the round. The heel is shaped with short rows.

The pattern is written for a standard gauge punch card knitting machine (4,5 mm needle distance) with a ribber. It was tested on a Brother KH-881. There is a punch card design at the end of the instructions.

Yarn weight: Fingering / 4 ply (400m/100g); sample done in non-stretchy Merino-linen-silk blend

Overall usage: ca. 66g / 265m
Color 1 (C1): White;
Color 2 (C2): Red à MC in sample
Usage per color: ca. 50% color 1 and 50% color 2

Gauge: 32 sts x 42 rows on 10x10 cm in Fair Isle pattern, tension 7

Dimensions lying flat: 15cm wide, 39cm long (ribbing to toe tip)
