This cosy stylish scarf looks clever and elegant, but is extremely easy to make.

Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED scarves, MK#13 drapes beautifully, can be worn in all sorts of ways and is quick to knit because it uses needles larger than is usual for the yarn. An 8ply/DK version of MK#5, this is an elongated boomerang shape with eyelet panels and edges knitted on the bias. (If you have already purchased MK#5, and would like to do this one, just make a note of the needle size and yardage you need and follow the MK#5 pattern)

The pictured scarf was made by clever Katie from Sip & Stitch in Hobart, Tasmania, from two 100g skeins of our favorite Bombed Yarns 8ply 100% superwash merino, in the gorgeous colour Unicorn Rainbow. Katie used approximately 360 metres / 394 yards and the finished scarf measures 83cm / 33 inches, by 164cm / 65 inches, by 198cm / 78 inches, without blocking.

6.5 mm / US 10½ needles

Gauge
Doesn’t matter unless you knit very tightly or very loosely, in which case go up or down a needle size, as applicable
