MK#24 Baby Cardigan
Even though it looks quite retro - and was inspired by pictures in a bundle of vintage pattern books given to me by a lovely friend - this minimal knits | DESIGNED seamless baby cardigan is made top down with integrated neck and button bands. And unlike those traditional style patterns, when the knitting is finished all we have to do is weave in the ends and sew on the buttons.
Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED baby clothes, MK#24 provides plenty of room to grow and the sleeves are designed to be rolled up when baby is at the younger end of the range.
A simple v-neck stocking stitch cardigan with garter edges and panels of garter, stocking and seed/moss stitch gives us a cute (and really easy) pattern, and depending on your yarn colour and button choices it will be suitable for a baby girl or boy.
The pictured cardigan was made with Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply Luxury machine washable wool in the colour Clover.
Skill Level Easy… even though it might include a technique you haven’t used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.
