MK#41 Baby Sweater
This seamless baby sweater is made top down with integrated neck and button bands, and when the knitting is finished all we have to do is weave in the ends and sew on the buttons.
Having a button placket down a side of the yoke means there’s plenty of room for easing the sweater over baby’s head. There are no difficult stitches or patterns to remember, just some moss/seed stitch to decorate the neck, hem and cuffs, a swing shape to add some style to the body and some cute little bows to decorate the hem.
The bows are easy to knit - just a bit fiddly – and the pattern includes detailed instructions, but tying the knots can be very hard on our fingers.
Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED baby clothes, MK#41 provides plenty of room to grow and the sleeves are designed to be rolled up when baby is at the younger end of the range.
The pictured sweater was made with Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply Classic machine washable wool, in the colour Rosebud.
Skill Level Advanced Beginner… even though it might include techniques you haven’t used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.
