MK#47 Baby Summer Top
This baby summer top is made partly in the round, top-down with integrated neck and placket bands, and when the knitting is finished all we have to do is weave in the ends and sew on the buttons.
A boxy top with side splits, its mostly stocking stitch, with garter trim and a button placket down the side of the yoke so there’s plenty of room for easing the top over baby’s head.
Plus it’s quite roomy for hot weather days, and cutely cropped – aiming at fashion rather than tradition.
The pictured top was made with Cascade Ultra Pima cotton DK/8ply in the colour Paprika.
Skill Level Advanced Beginner… even though it might include a technique you haven’t used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.
