The sock is worked top down. Left and right sock are identical. The pattern has been written for 3 different weights of yarn. Worsted weight (8 fadig/ply) sport weight (6 fadig/ply) and fingering weight (4 fadig/ply). Assuming that one has experience with knitting a sock and dividing the stitches.

Size: EU 36-44 (US 5-11, UK3.5-9.5) (depends on which combo of yarn weight, needle size and number of cast-on sts you choose)
The number of sts for the leg are 48 sts, 56 sts, 64 sts or 72 sts.
The gauge will give measurements for a medium size (EU size 38/39, US 6.5/7, UK 5/5.5) if the amount is 48 sts with worsted weight yarn (needle 4mm), 56 sts with sport weight yarn (needle 3mm) and 64 sts with fingering weight yarn (needle 2.5mm). (72 sts are for larger sizes)
If you want to knit another size you can change the amount of sts, needles or yarn weight.

Materials
100 gr worsted weight (200-250m in 100gr) for MC and 50 gr for CC.
100 gr sport weight (280-300m in 100 gr) for MC and 50 gr for CC.
100 gr fingering weight (420 m in 100 gr) for MC and 25 gr for CC
In both solid, semi solid or for the MC a gradient or light speckled but there must be enough contrast between MC and CC.

Needles: Size 4mm (3mm, 2.5mm) needles or size needed to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: on 4mm (3mm, 2.5mm) 20 (24, 32) sts and 28 (32, 42) rows= 10 cm /4” in stockinette stitch.
