Mohair is always mo’ better than other yarns, especially if it’s Angel by Debbie Bliss. Aunt Ninny can’t keep her hands off the darn stuff—it’s like baby bunnies and cloud fluff—so she decided to give her Colorblock Infinity Scarf a makeover.

Larger needles make for faster knit time, and three luscious colors create a sorbet parfait! You’ll need about 150 yds in each color; if you skimp, you might squeeze two cowls out of the three skeins, or one triple wrap and one double. Pattern makes a 63 inch long tube about 14 inches around. It uses a provisional CO and a Kitchener stitch graft. Working with Angel can be a bit like knitting with spider webs, but if you persevere, it gets easier.

WARNING: Do not try this on if you plan to give it as a gift! Remember the poor ballerina in The Red Shoes? She coveted those gorgeous crimson ballet slippers, put them on, and couldn’t get them off. They danced her right off a cl—nevermind, just make two!
