This is a double-knit, two-color, striped cowl. It fits two times around the neck and is quite snug. It is knitted flat on circular needles, then connected to make a Mobius strip cowl using the kitchener stitch. The edge is a selvedge, except for color change rows. The color variation comes from the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical suite linked to the golden number. You can vary the variety of yarn, the fiber, the color, and even the thickness, but note that if you move up to chunky, for example, the fit will be much different; I recommend sticking with Aran weight.

I knitted this for my partner who is a physicist and who had the idea for the Fibonacci and the Mobius, which I applied.
