Möbius Scarf/Capelet
I think Möbius strips are so interesting, so I wanted to create a knitted piece with one. What I came up with is something that can be used either around the neck as a scarf or stretched across the shoulders as a capelet.
The fabric is made with a simple reversible lace pattern. Both the width and the length can be easily changed to fit your style. There is also a lot of freedom when it comes to the yarn type, weight, and gauge. Because of this flexibility, the possibilities are only limited to your imagination. The flexibility also makes it a great stash-busting project.
The Reversible Garter Eyelet pattern that I created for this is very simple. The trickiest part is making this piece look seamless since it requires a provisional cast-on that is later grafted in a very particular way.
If you have any questions, comments, or feedback on this pattern, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I have no delusions that the patterns I write are perfect.
